I have used the insurance for items sold, but now I am trying to get a quote for an international inquiry...and I'll be derned if I can figure it out!

if you're referring to Auctiva Shipping Insurance, the rates are the same as for domestic shipments.

If you are wanting to use insurance from the USPS, you'll have to check on their site www.usps.com and see what's available...good luck!

I need additional insurance over and above what is available through USPS. I know I came here before and purchased an additional $2500 worth of insurance for like $19 --- which was definitely worth the money.
However, now I need a quote for additional insurance and can't find it--can't figure it out.
Maybe it is this horrible cold I have that is clogging my poor brain!
Any help will be appreciated!

If you would like to purchase a shipping insurance policy for this item with a coverage total of $2500, you could do for a cost of $19.00. However, if the item is valued at over $2500, you could not purchase a certain amount of insurance through the shipping carrier and insure the rest through Auctiva.
If the item is valued at over $2500 and you would like to insure the entire shipment, it would probably be best to insure the item through the carrier or another vendor who will insure the shipment for the full value. The maximum amount of shipping insurance that can be purchased through Auctiva is $2500.
