insurance required changed to included

Has anyone else had this problem: I selected insurance required when posting my listing but it shows up on eBay as included in s/h? I had to revise my active listing through eBay and change it to optional just to avoid the included in s/h. I suppose I could have included it and raised my s/h charge, but for expensive items that don't weigh much it would have appeared to be a high s/h cost.

It's normal. If you compare your shipping and insurance amount when you create the listing to the amount for S&H with included insurance once the listing is on ebay, they should be the same amount. I think it's a "friendlier" way of telling buyers that shipping is required. Some buyer will complain if the amount is separated out in the listing.

I have noticed that it's been shown this way over the last few months. It caught me offguard at first too.
