Well, respectfully, a modification of the content of the Scrolling Gallery including its ad is in essence an infringment of Auctiva's copywrite, i.e. removing the Rights Owner's marks. See the "Legal" link at the bottom of main page and Legal Notices - Content Copyright. Having had my own VeRO experience, I'm probably more sensitive than most to the issues.
In getting the service free, it's the least members can do to help Auctiva gain customers and help pay and maintain it as FREE. Truthfully, I like the service and personally feel the small ads are both unobtrusive and tasteful. You can always move the Scrolling Gallery to the bottom of the listing or turn it OFF.
