Hi guys.

Long time no talk, hope you are all well.

I have a problem that I can't figure out. I added and html description to my listing and it looks fine at my end. I've had a few people check it for my after someone told me that it was only showing the red X's. Some can see it fine and others get the X's (including ebay customer support). Can someone help me or tell me why it looks fine to some and not to others"

Thanks!

You can see it fine because the image URLs are relative to your local computer. Other people won't have those images saved on their computers though so they can't see it. In order for it to display you'll have to upload the images to the internet (to Auctiva or another photo host) and change the URLs to point there instead of your computer.

Hope that helps,

This is what I don't know how to do. Anybody else? I assume we're talking about importing a MS Publisher file somehow?
Hi,

Thanks for all the replies. Sorry, I didn't mean to get everyone's knickers in a bunch. Yes, that's what I was trying to do. I created a display page and couldn't publish it to the web. The other images were fine (the ones that you all see).

I apologize. I guess it's not really an Auctiva issue, I just needed some help. So, after pulling my hair out and managing to throw something together in Photoshop, I've now saved this one and uploaded it to Auctiva. Could someone take a look and tell me if it shows now please/ It's the one with the couch and it appears at the end of the listing and in the gallery. I haven't figured out yet how to move it up in the queue as the first image viewed on the listing.

Thanks again. Have a great night!
i see image with couch in listing just fine.

to move it up in listing on an active listing, will have to edit on ebay and then, of course, you'll be dealing with editing html.

prolly easiest would be to do a new listing, but instead of launching, save it. then view the saved listing, right click it and view source, copy the source to clipboard, and then go into ebay and replace html in description box with what you just copied to clipboard.

either that, or just dont worry about it Wink

Hey, my knickers weren't bunched! I quoted that bit again because the two posts before that seemed to miss the bit about Publisher and that you were still trying to get something done.

Glad you got it uploaded. Even if it's not exactly where you want it at least it's there as the header so at least some people will click on that for the larger view before they scroll down looking for it..
