"Item has been deleted" API error

I'm having trouble relisting several items. They look fine; I'm able to access them via Closed Listings, click "Edit and Relist" (or in some cases only "Relist", Edit option not shown). I make my changes and click Relist Now.

The items then show up under Scheduled Listings, with this notification:

>>API Error

This item cannot be accessed because the listing has been deleted, is a Half.com listing, or you are not the seller.<<

They're not deleted - I'm looking right at them - and I'm certainly the seller. I've never sold through Half.com. How do I get these relisted?

This sometimes happens to me when I am relisting an older item. There is no rhyme or reason. A couple of weeks ago, I waited a few hours and then went ahead and tried again...magic it relisted.

You can create a new ad and just copy and paste the verbiage from the old one to the new one. PITA but it works.

I also suggest that you check your active listings to see if it posted anyway. This happens to me often when the item doesn't post in time but anything is possible.

they are probally older than 90 days. ebay only allows a relist for 90 days. sadly auctiva can't handle that and instead of relisiting they could simply list the item they error it out

Wow, glad I checked back - I didn't get the requested notification that anyone had answered! Thanks for the feedback.

Well what a drag. It's really frustrating to see a complete, edited listing right in my face and not be able to put it up as-is. There's more work for me. Bummer.

But I do appreciate the info!

I agree 100% I had tried to explain to Auctiva how valuable and easy it would be to re-list from the Closed Folder if the listing was over 90 days old. sadly they didn't agree
