When you first log on to Auctiva, there is an "event" field in the upper right hand corner. Click on the red number on the far right. This should tell you why your scheduled listings are not being posted. If a scheduled listing does not post in time, Auctiva stops trying to post it. That may be the problem
You may want to file a support ticket on the bottom of the help page.
i had that error on a couple of scheduled auctions the other day. i would just double check to make sure that they did not actually launch (mine hadn't) and then you can reschedule them and they should work the second time.
Thanks so much for the really fast replies!! I did not schedule the listings for a later time, but the message I got said "not listed in time" - that was the error? I'll check into this further.
Usually I prepare my auctions, check and double check - then check the boxes of auctions to list and have no problem. So this is odd. Thanks again - Laura
Hi Binnie - I'm sitting here trying to post ONE auction and it's just not going. I'm stuck - won't let me cancel either.
I couldn't even get into this message board without using my old password - huh? Just changed my password, but it wasn't recognized on the message board.
Hi Laura, It worked straight after and I ended up listing 2 items, so had to end one quickly as it had duplicated them. I've just listed 2 more items and all seems ok. Good luck, keep trying.
when you post an auction through Auctiva my guess is that it goes into a queue to be posted to E-BAY. sometimes it takes a few minutes. if you re-post it you will end up with a duplicate.
i'm also guessing that when you get that 'not posted in time' error, it means that the listing did not post because either E-BAY or Auctiva was too busy at the time to complete the API call.
at that point it should be safe to either re-post or re-schedule the listing without creating a duplicate.
Also, when you schedule be sure to choose at least "1 hour" in the "retry" dropdown. Mine never take more than a few minutes longer than their scheduled times but I figure choosing an hour is good insurance.
Somethin' is going on. Pic's take forever, listing is not posting, losing edited listings, don't mean to complain but I don't have lots of time to fool around with listing. Haven't had problems in the past. Some answers may soothe ...........
Yesterday I ended up posting my 8 little auctions through eBay - not Auctiva. Sorry that it's an eBay problem, but I couldn't keep trying to use Auctiva after almost 3 whole days of trying. Kept getting the failure message. Now I understand that it's an eBay problem, but not sure what do to next. I love Auctiva!! Oh well - best wishes to all!!
