Can I put a link to my other (non-ebay) store on my Auctiva page? There's probably something around here about that but I can't find it.

I may have just answered my own question Smile I've never filled out the about me page or any of the other information and while I was looking I ran across an "Our Website" line. Am I correct in assuming I can put my other stores link there???

Sorry for being so dense but this is all new to me.

Thanks.

Hi Linda.
Not dense at all! Smile
I would think it's alright as long as there is nothing on eBay that can find its way to that link. Like if you put your Auctiva Store link in your listings, that would eventually lead to the off-site link, making it a no-no.

You can also place one off-eBay link in your Me page. I believe it's only one, but could be found in TOS to verify that.

Hope this helps.
So let me see if I understand.... since I have "click here to visit my store" (which is actually my auctiva store) at the bottom of all my ebay listings it's not ok to put my website (other store) information in my auctiva about us page?

But... if I take out the "click here to visit my store" blurb from my listings it would be ok?????

Also, while I'm asking questions, can I put my other store link in my signature line here? You know, just in case anyone is interested since I post so much - lol.
Hi.
I believe that's all correct, yes. If it leads to an off-eBay link, it's violating their policy.

I think so. I don't see why not since we can have our BigCrumbs links, but surely someone else will be along soon that really knows. Smile

You can put a link to your eBay store or listings in your siggy if ya want.

edit... I asked elsewhere and member_8880 said someone yes, we can have an outside link. Handlep has one besides BC. Smile

You can have links in your Auctiva sig, but not sure about the store..I would ask them to be sure...because when someone clicks on your Auctiva store it takes them to Ebay and you can't have any links to other selling venues on Ebay. Strictly prohibited. Most of us aren't even sure about having BigCrumbs links on our ME page..I know some sellers have had their pages taken down because of that.

I thought that just happened to auctions. I didn't realize anyone had lost a ME page from it. Frown

check out your post & my edit timestamp. Big Grin

I'd still think as long as the listings have no links to the store, it'd be alright. Since the store points TO eBay, but eBay wouldn't be pointing back... of course, then you couldn't use the scrolling gallery either. I just thought about that. I like my gallery and really think it helps, so wouldn't jeopardize it. Matter of choice I suppose.
Yes, GMTA Smile

I like that Auctiva allows us to put links.
I've just like to play it safe with eBay and when I get my ME page back up, still probably won't put anything there just to be sure. Someone doesn't like me or feels threatened or something (though I don't know why) and I get reported for nothing stuff and have to point it out to eBay that my listing is ok. Frown Unless of course, I did have a violation. lol
Thanks guys. I'll probably just not chance it.

(then in my next breath I say)......

However, I ran across this yesterday. The person has this in their listing:

"You can see more of____ on a Worldly Wider Scale!
But alas, eBay dictates that you must click on _____'s "ME" Page to LINK to it!
And if you do, prepare to have some more FUN!"

Then you go to the ME page and it has their web address big as can be right in the middle of the page.

This person has a ton of feedback so it looks like they have been around for awhile and what they are doing is legal Confused

Maybe I should just leave my address out of Auctiva and do something like this... oh wait, I said I wouldn't chance it didn't I - lol.
