Listing Failure - errors???

In the past couple of days I had scheduled to list about 130 or items...thirty five of them did not get posted due to one of the two following errors:

"API Error - The length of the description has exceeded the maximum limit"

or

"Invalid character(s) were detected in your description, your ad was not posted to eBay."

Has anyone else had the same problem? I did an error check before scheduling and there were no errors found. Most (about ninety) of my scheduled listings were posted, but for some reason 35 got these error messages even though the listings are essentially the same.

I'm dumbfounded, and now waiting on a response from Auctiva, but curious if anyone else has experienced this problem.

No, I didn't even know it COULD happen (after error check passes). But my dscriptions are brief so I've never dealt with that. Since yours are essentially the same, maybe the ones that failed had just a couple more words than the ones that listed
