OMG...I got rather excited about this new shipping class service from the USPS. It could really help grow my sales. Not to mention make internet shopping more affordable for lots of folks. I ordered a supply of the Regional Rate boxes post haste from the USPS, now, inquiring minds would like to know...
When can we expect this shipping class option to be included on our Auctiva listing form?

For those who missed the newsletter...the blurb follows:

Save big on short-distance shipping
Starting in March, when you ship short-distances, you can use the new USPS Priority Mail® Regional RateTM boxes - available online only - for shipments of up to 15 lbs and shipments of up to 20 lbs. Choose this new option when your buyer is close to home.

For example, if you ship a 10 lb package from San Jose to Sacramento, look at the savings:

Priority Mail® costs $9.80
Priority Mail® Medium Flat Rate Box costs $10.50
Priority Mail® Regional Rate Box A costs only $4.97

Look for the USPS Regional Rate box option when you print labels on eBay. Remember - you've got to use the box to get these fantastic rates!

Hi KatzCornerUSA,

Thanks for posting your question here. We have not been able to add support for these regional USPS shipping options because, while eBay supports printing shipping labels related to those shipping services, they still do not support offering them as available shipping services during the listing creation process.

We would only be able to make these shipping services available for selection when listing eBay items through Auctiva if eBay were to make them available for selection when listing items directly through the eBay "Sell your Item" form.

I have not heard any announcements indicating that eBay plans to add support for selecting these shipping services when creating listings but, if they do, we would then be able to make them available for selection when listing through Auctiva.

-Mike
