I have listed all my items into separate categories in my ebay store, yet i still have all of the items showing up in "OTHER" and it looks like a mess, if i delete items from the other category i loose the listing all together...i am trying to make my ebay store look as professional as possible....can anyone help me please?

also i am sure many of you have had the same issues with NIGERIANS that i have been having, which unfortunately means i have had to block all users with a feedback rating of 5 or less, and that sux because i remember how hard it was to buy anything when i was low, i have had one account jacked from me and i had a positive 100 feedback on it, due to my son logging in from a spoof mail so i ended up starting all over.....now we can block from certain countries, but they make accounts with American address, then buy it now, and then send you spoof with address from Nigeria, I have had this happen on all of my High End items and then i have to go through the trouble of re listing the items....what can we do about it...i have sent a letter to ebay stating that they should require all members to be verified with their actual physical address, but as usual, you never hear back other then a automated response.

Hi let me see

Para 1) Store categories, you do not say what you have done, did you create them, import them into your Auctiva account and apply one to each of your listings.

Para 2) Are you actually asking something here, but you can be sure eBay will not do anything about dodgey buyers, you may also want to block Asia too. See posts on Chinese BIN bandit/spammers.

Regards son using machine, make sure you and he have seperate logins on your PC and certainly do not let anyone else know your eBay or mail program passwords, it could cost you dear including being booted off eBay if items are bought on your eBay account and not paid for. Smile
Well I don't know anything about stores, so I can't help you there....

About scammers--all you can really do is block certain countries (Italy is becoming very bad too lately), use your blocked bidders list, and file all unpaid item disputes to at least get your fees back. If a user registered in the states wins an item then turns out to have a Nigerian (or whatever) address you can report for invalid contact info and as being an unwelcome bidder. It's a hassle but there ARE things you can do. Unfortunately you cannot block bidders with a FB rating of 5 or less (that's not really fair anyway, we ALL started at 0) you can only be vigilant and cancel their bid. Unless of course they do a BIN or snipe an auction, then you would just have to see if they pay.

*See ChooCooGuy's post about his 'Chinese' problem, scary stuff!!

And you are right, ebay should absolutely verify it's members, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen anytime soon Frown Collecting their FEES is more important I guess......
I don't feel that verifying a PHYSICAL address is the solution. I personally have only a post office box registered, as do many other users. There can be many legitimate reasons for this, not the least of which is privacy and security. There was one instance, posted on this forum, where a problem buyer threatened to go to the seller's home and "take care of them". Other sellers have expensive goods for sale, a potential target for theft or worse. Having your physical address out there for the world to see has serious risks that I, for one, am not anxious to assume. Even if ebay were able to somehow verify the physical address of the "PO Boxers" but not make there addresses visible, there is no guarantee against the high probability of hackers and highjackers accessing the information.
