Listing Problems

I am wasting alot of time trying to list items. The whole listing keeps freezing up and any pop up boxes seem to not work alot of the time and they won't close and thus jam up the listing itself. When I try to close the box it usually closes the whole listing page down without saving anything and then I have to re-open the whole site and start again. I have wasted hours doing this and I am really getting fed up with it. I think I may go back to using turbo lister as you never get these problems on there. Very frustrating and a complete waste of my time....

Hi there, I suffered from a lot of the same problems. Finally found that the problem was with my firewall and popup blocker. Don't know if that is the case with you but you might want to check. PS, I have been warned not to turn firewall off.

Hi...not sure if this will help you or not but here's my 2¢ worth. I use Firefox browser all the time but there is something it in that blocks Auctiva, so now I can zoom through my listings using Internet Explorer. I keep both browsers open most of the time when writing my listings and check Ebay using Firefox. You might try this but I agree with the previous poster that it is most likely in your settings.

For the last two days I have had the same problem; do a listing press the save button and it takes me to the main home page, and has lost all the information I just put in! Then I have to log in again, and reenter everything. It has happened again this morning, I also can't use this web site on a sunday it just comes up with error pages, and freezes up. Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm also having this same problem, maybe it is my firewall, I just switched to McAfee - don't ask why, and have not been happy with it or Activa. The template page never comes up and when I try and post, the whole thing just freezes and then finally will go to "page can't be displayed". I have lost so much time, I've been using Andale, but I'm have minor problems there too. I don't know who to use. Frustrating!

Hi. I had a similar problem when editing my listings. However I found that having too many operations running at the same time cleared my problems straight away. Try not to have too many browser windows open, sometimes its just resource memory that prevents you uploading to Auctiva.

There's a solution on the boards here somewhere for this. It happened in the last few weeks with McAfee and one of it's updates.

If you go to the find tab on the top of this message board and search to find the answer using McAfee I'm sure it will come up.

I'd do it for you, but I'm on a time crunch.

But yes, McAfee and their latest update was keeping several other members from uploading.
