Listings not in search engine

I listed my item yesterday and had them start at 7 pm pacific time. Out of 26 items listed, I only have 18 that are in the search engine. Is this normal? All of them appear in my selling items in my ebay account, but not all appear when you do a search. I only listed for 5 days. If its normal for it to take this long to be available thru ebay, is it better to list for a longer period of time? Any help would be great.

Ebay has been delaying listings going live. They say its because of high fraud items. I list books and they don't usually show up in search for about 6 hours. There are numerous threads on Auctiva and on the eBay forums about this. Seems to me its gotten worse this last month. None of my listings have been showing up right away.
