I'm not sure if this is a problem with the way my browsers are set up, but I keep running into the same problems every time I edit or add listings. I'll be going along fine, and then the listing refuses a change. The browser completely locks-up. This happens mostly when changing/adding/editing/deleting pictures, but it has also happened when editing the "new, like-new, used" categories as well as when I try to save.

I love the features and design, but I'll have to find another way to list everything if it continues to take me 3-4 times longer to get the listings out.

Captain Gold,

First, try using our site with an alternate browser. We reccommend using Internet Explorer 6.0 or Mozilla Firefox 1.5 for best performance on our site. If you're already using one, you may want to try the other.

Another thing that could cause your browser to lock up is if you have any spyware or internet security products on your computer that are disagreeing wioth information from our site.

However, this problem is most likely due to slowness on our site due to our current bandwidth dilemma, that MODONEIT so vaguely and crudely alluded to above. You can read more about this issue at https://community.auctiva.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/455...161084551#4161084551

If this is the cause, this is certainly a temporary issue that should be resolved by some time next week.

Also, to refute what was said above, as the 4th largest 3rd party listing site, we are a contender in this game and once we negotiate a deal with a new bandwidth provider, our site may even be faster than ever.

We appreciate everyone's patience as we work through this growing pain=)

I'm running the latest versions of IE, Mozilla Firefox, and Netscape. All of them have similar problems so it is probably the bandwidth issue.

I'm certainly willing to wait for a short time to see if the upgrades promised will solve this issue. As I stated, I like the features (as long as they'll work the way I expect).

Thanks for the quick response!
Crude & vague??This is why Auctiva hasn't come through with their promises. Instead of doing whatever it takes to provide the bandwidth for their customers, they waste time fending off criticism and justifying their inaction. Give them time Cap'n, you'll get just as tired of their excuses as everyone else. FYI - I don't use Auctiva anymore. I only check in once in a while to see if the comments have improved. But, it's the same old same old, week after week.
