Mac help needed

I have been using Auctiva for several months - I use the Basic HTML to upload my photos. Most of the time they load ok, but sometimes it fails. My pics are larger than 1024 x 768, but they would get resized. Now, I cannot upload them - any ideas why? When I try to upload using the drag & drop method, the pics are resized to 16 x 16. I filed a question with Auctiva and they said they are aware of that problem and are working on it. I don't know how to resize the pics in iphoto - help????

I use FF with my iMac and have no problem uploading images with either method.

However, I'm not taking the photos directly from iPhoto. They magically come from elsewhere...

Pictures > iPhoto Library > Data > 2009 > then by date.

It just did it on it's own. I don't know if that helps any - but I don't have to export or do anything like that when they come from the place I described above. Sorry, but I don't speak any techno-jargon, so that's the best I can describe it.

I'm just used to my iMac doing things by magic, and I accept it.
