Major changes coming to the view item page, which will have impact on custom template

Isn't it awful? I'm a relative newbie to Ebay compared to some of these folks and I can honestly say I found it MOST easy to use when I first started a few years back. I don't mind change if it's beneficial but most of it is justification for the big salaries these ebay employees are getting. Change just for the sake of change, not to actually improve anything. You see how they say they 'listened to our needs' or whatever? Look at all the other changes they tried to implement that failed because folks HATED them.

Buyers don't actually READ an auction to begin with, now to see shipping or TOS they'll have to use TABS??? (yeah right) and yes, not to mention what it will do to our templates....My disgust-o-meter is at the boiling point

Well, I just love the fact that a Listing/Ad I'm paying for is showing "Recently Viewed Items", i.e. possibly (and most probably) not things I'm selling.

Other venues are looking better every day.

Well once again thanks to sellers comments.....

Well I am happy to be able to report that eBay has changed the new View Item page to “floating width”. What this means is that you will NOT have to modify your template at all – the new page will accommodate all existing listing templates.
