Hi. I am CERTAIN my questions have been answered elsewhere, and I'm sorry to post a new thread, but I can't find the answers I'm looking for. Could someone please direct me to a thread that really delves into the ways to get the most out of Auctiva stores and eBay stores?

I'll be more specific, for those of you who have the patience to read this message. I am a new seller, am starting to sell quite a few items through auctions, and think that a fixed storefront with low listing fees would be a great solution for selling some of my low-volume, high-margin items that are not appropriate for auction. Like a lot of people, I would be using my low-margin auctions to promote the high-margin items in my store.

But I'm really confused about the relative features of Auctiva stores and eBay stores. What's the difference? Is there a difference?

If I were to open an eBay store and continue posting items to my store through Auctiva, would I end up with double cross-promotion store windows in all my auctions? Or would Auctiva's store window effectively allow me to get the cheapest eBay store, without paying for the cross-promotion features since the Auctiva window would handle these?

If I get an eBay store with cross-promotions, then is Auctiva basically useless to me?

Is there such a thing as a stand-alone Auctiva store that avoids eBay altogether (ie, the Auctiva store window links to items in my Auctiva store that eBay has never heard of and won't charge me fees for)? If so, does this work for real people (I would guess that many buyers are reluctant to buy and check out once they see they've been taken out of eBay)?

Like I said, I'm sure most of these questions are answered elsewhere, and they all basically arise from the same problem: I don't really understand what an Auctiva store is and how it relates (or doesn't) to an eBay store. Is there some kind of tutorial or thread for newbies somewhere?

Thanks for your patience and any assistance you can offer.

Hi Zigbert,

The Auctiva store is a collection of all of your active listings that customers reach when clicking the "View Seller's Other Items" link on your Auctiva store window. Ebay store listings, auctions, and dutch auctions listed on eBay will all appear in your Auctiva store.

Auctiva offers a free store window(cross promotion). You're welcome to cancel eBay's cross promotion and just use our store window=)
Auctiva provides more than just a store window...we also provide free templates, scheduling, unlimited image hosting, integrated checkout, and more.

No, there is no Auctiva store seperate from your eBay listings. Only items listed on eBay will appear in your Auctiva store and when a customer clicks on an item in the store, it takes him directly to the eBay auction.

I hope that helps=)
