This is not addressed in what we need to know to get started. I just had 21 templates changed to auctiva and placed in here, and they are for 4 different seller names, all mine.

I just moved them from InkFrog since someone said this was better, and within Inkfrog I could select my different seller names within one log in. I cannot find that on here. Does this mean I must now go in and open 4 different auctiva accounts in order to be able to list with my different ebay ids? Or, where do I look to add my other ebay ids?

Also, if I want to look at my item with different templates as I have been doing, so I may select the one that shows the item best, can that be done, or is the template set in stone, so to speak, once it is selected? Also, can the template be changed once in auction, as I have done with Inkfrog? I wish I had asked before I had them all changed, but heard Auctiva was like Inkfrog, just better.

Thank you.

Hi A.J.,

Welcome to Auctiva! Only one Auctiva account can be associated with each eBay account and vis versa so, in order to use Auctiva with all 4 of your eBay accounts, you will have to open four separate Auctiva accounts.

When you are creating your listing through Auctiva, you can select a template using the big blue "Select Template" button on the Auctiva lister page. Then, just click the "Preview" button to see what the listing looks like with that template. If you would then like to see how the listing would look using a different template, you can change the template using the "Choose Different Template" link and then click the "Preview" button again. This process can be repeated to see how your the listing will look with any number of templates.

If you would like to change the template of a listing once the item has been posted to auction, as long as it has not received any bids and has greater than 12 hours left, you can do so by revising it via the following process:

1) Locate your listing in your Saved Listings folder, make any necessary changes(select new template), and save.
2) Click the "<HTML> icon to the right of the item on your "Saved Listings" page
3) Select All and copy the html in the popup window.
4) Locate the item on eBay and click the "Revise Item" button.
5) Scroll down to the "Description" section and then click the "HTML" tab above the description editor.
6) Delete the existing description HTML, paste the copied HTML in its place, and save your changes.

I hope you find this information to be helpful. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please file a support request using the appropriate link on our help page: http://www.auctiva.com/free-auction-software-help/help.aspx
