hi, i would like to create my own template (inc my own pictures). Is there anyway i can do this?

assuming you know html or are a quick study, yes.
easiest way would be to take some templates and look them over and see how it works and then modify it to suit your needs or write one from scratch.

Not such a good idea unless you know the person who made the template and okayed you to alter it. All parts of a template including the HTML belong to the original designer.
Either use a HTML editor and build it from the bottom up or hire a designer to give you what you want
good point! Shoulda probably said "pick apart an Auctiva provided template and alter it" (assuming Auctiva allows that )
