My pics dont work again.

yes, our pictures aren't working *again*

i know it's a free service, but i'm seriously thinking about switching to a different service or using turbo lister again if this doesn't stop.

sad thing is i really love how easy this program is to use

A few minutes ago, I was only seeing red x's on my auctions and could feel my blood pressure start to rise.

Then I realized that people were still bidding on my items so I re-booted my computer and low and behold, there are my pics. Seems to have been me.

If anyone wants to post a link to their items, I can take a look to see if I can see your pics.

We restarted just 1 of our image servers. Only those connecting to that 1 server would not have seen images.

I just assume the uploader is always soooo sloooow because I have a dial up connection. But today after 15 min not even one pic has uploaded. In fact the top line just goes blank all together.
I thought Id come here to the message board because my Im still waiting for a responce for a question to the auctiva staff from last week.

My error said it couldn't connect to betatest.auctiva.com

When can we expect a stable production realease of whatever is being beta tested?

We are running stable production releases.

What were you doing when you received that error? We aren't even running a beta test right now.

I just clicked on a picture on one of my ebay listings because I wanted to view the larger image.

The auction item number is 280049003155

This is the url I was directed to. I cleared my cache twice but still get the same url.

I had to revise, on eBay, a scheduled listing that went from here,

BECAUSE the click-to-enlarge re-direct didn't.



Somehow this: href="http://betatest.auctiva.com/hostedimages/ ---was inserted into the URLs.

Hopefully the others I have scheduled will not do that.

By the way. Once the listing is on eBay, the only way to fix the re-direct problem is to REVISE every listing.

You have to take thesection in red out of the URL.

I just had two scheduled auctions go up and one had this problem and the other did not.

Boy, that was a PAIN looking through all that html to remove "betatest". My eyes are not that good anymore at this time of night!! (and no, I am NOT that old).

You're welcome. I was just coming back to state that the one bad listing was a 'scheduled' one. I immediately cancelled my others that were scheduled, and manually lauched one -- it launched properly.

So, could be a momentary glitch?

Ok, this is annoying. I've sent it to engineering. One of the schedulers was moved to a different server this afternoon. It must be happening on that server.

We've fixed the problem, and posted a solution so that listings that link to betatest work as well.

Knowing it was a scheduled listing, and linking to an item that had it happening in it were a great help in me narrowing it down. Thank you.

I still dont have pics that work. 1 or 2 will work half the time.. LOTS OF RED X'S
