Need HTML help 4 background image - my brain went dead

try changing the attachment part to:

style="background-attachment: fixed"

Thanks for the reply. I did have that at one point & it didn't work. Now I'm back to that line of code not staying in the custom template when saved. I'll go back in and it is missing. I have it as the very first line. I'm ready to beat my head on this desk. Perhaps I need some code prior to it. When I do it in notepad & open in my browser it works fine.

The WYSIWIG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get) HTML Editor likes to reformat things for you unfortunately.. if you are having problems with that, try using the new 'Text mode' editor that we have added to the page which is just a text box with nothing fancy added. When the page first loads, it should be in Text Mode and you can past your template HTML in there and it shouldn't change.

Hmm.......so I'm not going crazy in my old age Thanks...I'll try that approach and see what happens.

Thanks David, I'm rolling on the floor laughing. Note to self, don't ever peak at the design mode because it messes with your HTML and makes you want to knock your brain against the desk! LOL....

Something that works one day isn't working the next. I know how to do custom templates but for some reason over here things go all screwy

I just found too that you can't even go into Manage templates then click on the preview button. The next time I went in my code was messed up in a few places plus my first line of code was gone again. I've got to at least be able to view it to make sure it's working correctly.
