If you choose the template, a separate window options with the drop down for image 1, 2, 3, etc. You use the dropdown to choose how many of the pics you have loaded in the template..e.g. choose 1 to get one pic, 2 to get 2 pics, etc. When you make the selection in the dropdown, they will (definitely should) be showing up in the template preview window where you are making the selection. Other options there control how they are displayed...vertical, horizontal, etc. Each selection you make is previewed immediately.
One thing...you must have the pics uploaded first and associated with the listing on the lister page before they appear in the template. If you have 3 pics loaded and ask for 4 in the template, you should see the 3 and a 'placeholder' box where the 4th would go.
