NEW Editor going live today

Well, I tried it and didn't really have any problems. I noticed that when you select your template, it used to automatically tell you how many photos you had and with this new editor you have to tell it. Look forward to working with it more. See a lot of positives.

Haven't tried the new version yet, but I can't post anything at all with the latest version that I am using. I posted a support request and I see others are having problems posting new listings as well according to the boards. Any chance this will be fixed some time soon so that we can be back in business ?

well I tried to get the beta version and it refers me to the new site and won't let me log in...it keeps refering me back to the old site. So, I can't post using the old version or try to see if I can post with the new version.

I can't sign in to the new site which the link is refering me too...it tells me I need to register. When I try to register it won't let me because it rejects my e-mail address as being already used (for the old auctiva website). It's the only e-mail address I have. I can't win for losing.

I wrote 2 ads starting from a 'saved auction' and then by doing a 'similar' about 45 minutes ago. I took a break and came back in to write up some more ads...and NOW I have NO DESCRIPTIONS! at all in my scheduled ads! HELP! HELP! HELP!

WOW! now it's back! What was that?...a hiccup? I certainly hope so. Anyway, I'll be back here if it goes haywire again.

Okay, I can actually enter text this time around...but none of my previous listings or Profile Text is there now. Do I have to redo all my profiles now? Or is this a hiccup?

Kinda makes u wonder if Auctiva takes it seriously that we can't post any auctions - I can see where they have replied to other issues today on the board that are trivial compared to this issue but no comments to us whatsoever regarding our issues. Has anyone even received a response to their support requests ? I just filed mine today but I see where others filed supports requests yesterday and still have no response. Makes me feel like we are being ignored since someone is obviously there monitoring this board since some topics have received an Auctiva reply. Wasn't even three weeks ago where I couldn't post auctions for several days because of issues. It's a shame that I pay almost $50.00 a month to Auctiva but can't even get communication or a month that I can post without there being issues. My revenue this month is going to be WAY down as a result of this. But yeh I know, that's my problem.

Same exact thing happening here...I did the same, with the same bad result.

Your descriptions aren't actually gone. They still exist in the database but they aren't being displayed to you. Please, anybody having this issue do not save over your ad. The descriptions STILL EXIST, but it is a display issue.

If you are having this problem, please:
1) Clear your cache
2) Close all browser windows
3) Go to http://www.auctiva.com and look at your saved listings

Yesterday everything was back, got listings on. Just came on tonight and everytime I click on a saved listing it kicks me off of AOL. I don't know if you will get this because when I hit post I get web site not responding. HELP PLEASE

What do you mean by "kicks me off AOL"? You get disconnected from all sites on the internet, or just our site?

Anything you have already saved still exists and does not need to be re-created. Once you hit save it goes into our database, and website bugs won't affect that.

Posted 3 auctions just fine, but just now, when I click on the photo box, to add a photo, it acts like I'm clicking the Save button, then exits.

It comes up aol has encountered a problem and is reconnecting. This is third time when I went into listings. Just tried beta site. It was fine till I clicked on my listing and it kicked me off again.cck

Wow, AOL should do something about that. We can't just disconnect you from your ISP with a web page. If that were possible, lots of malicious sites out there would do things like this.

I want to see if the problem is with the html editor itself or the listings page. Let me know if you can get to the detail profile page without any trouble and we can work from there.

I create a new auction.
Enter my description.
Click on the 1st photo box, and it says "you have changes. Do you wish to save them". It's acting like I clicked Save.

If you click Cancel (which should actually be "no", not "cancel"), the window goes blank. Even the browser URL address goes blank.

There's no way to add photo's to my new listing.

Firefox 1.0.2.
The same one I've been using for a long time.

I just tried it with IE, and all is fine.

went to the link stayed on till it started loading description then kicked me off. I am teaching myself computer so I don't want to sound real stupid here but explain browser. Question, I upgraded aol safety and security to keep out phishing and spoof mail could that be it?

Thanks for help but I need to leave for work. I'll have to try again tomorrow.

OK, I test with Firefox 1.5 and IE here at the office, both worked fine.

I'm starting to get the impression that lots of issues lately have been from Firefox 1.0.X

Can all of you with 1.0 Firefox upgrade to 1.5, unless you have a specific reason not to?

I Feel better now. I just used IE and it doesn't kick me off. Can someone explain this to me? Do I need to use IE all the time now ?

What browser were you using before you tried IE? I do know that really older versions of Firefox were having issues with the new editor. If you're using that browser, make sure to upgrade to the newest version.

hi kevin I was using Aol. always worked well. When I use IE everything is fine.

All is working but I do have a problem. The preview shows one thing and it posts another way. Please look at item # 8253418927. In the sentence (we appeciate your visit and hope you will visit our store for more pen blanks, only the link itself should be underlined. It posts with the whole sentence underlined. After it posts, if you go back to the listing to correct it, it won't allow the correction. I have to correct it in Ebay. Why does it do that. It isn't right - can it be fixed. This sytem also takes longer to load.
