I have done a lot of reading and digging around and can not find the answers I am looking for. I tend to be long winded so please stick with me and any advice is greatly appreciated.
What drew me to Auctiva is I have been trying to find a java or other means of having my other current items scroll across my listings to increase item awareness when someone is looking at one of my auctions. Auctiva seems to have just what I am looking for in that department.
I am also getting ready to overhaul my hmtl (in this area I am not so sure that Auctiva is the right choice since I am pretty proficient at html and I do not need templates). I like my auctions to look unique so I don't care as much for using templates from anywhere.
Next item on list and getting down to brass tack. To quote from the Auctiva legal.
Auctiva reserves the right to charge listing fees for certain listings, as well as transaction fees based on certain completed transactions using the Services. Auctiva further reserves the right to alter any and all fees from time to time, without notice.
I cant find exactly what they DO charge for listed anywhere and what the fee schedule is for those items. I have figured out that they charge for items sold that are listed in Auctiva store.... but what percentage do you pay? Is it same comparable fee to eBay? or higher or lower? Does the scale slide depending on item value? Is there a base fee plus percentage? Do you pay a fee if your customers use Auctiva's checkout system (this isn't specifically mentioned in their free free campaign)?
I like to crunch all the math before I do something. Since I really am not sure I want much of anything except for the Auctiva script that shows all my other items currently listed on each of my auctions is this going to be the right choice for me?
Can I insert that script only in my own html and use my own image hosting (I run four websites I don't see any need for using an image hosting service nor as previously mentioned a template).
To all those who made it to reading the end of this post my deepest thanks,
Paul
