Hi: From Ebay, I am trying to create a listing with photos hosted by Auctiva. When I click on HTML to add my photos and am asked for a web address when I type in my address, I still get no pics, only the red x in box. I even re uploaded pics to auctiva this a.m. in case they were deleted before. This is probably something very simple but at this point, my brain is mush. Please advise in a very easy way that I can understand with this mushy brain. Thanks so much.

Hi Rooey,

Since you are seeing the option to enter URL's for your images when you click "Select an Image", you must have the lister page configured to use externally hosted images. The externally hosted image option is intended for use by sellers who are posting their listings through Auctiva but are hosting their images outside of Auctiva.

If your intention is to use Auctiva to host your images, you should not be using the externally hosted image option. If you scroll down to below all the "Select an Image" boxes on the listing creation page and click the small "Switch to Auctiva Hosted Images" link, you will be all set to use Auctiva hosted images.

Once you have done this, when you click any of the "Select an Image" boxes, you will see the option to select images that you have already uploaded into your Auctiva account or to upload images from your computer to use for the listing. If you would like to upload images from your computer to use for the listing, you will need to click the "Upload" button on that page.

If you select the images you'd like to use for your listings and click "Add", or if you upload images from your computer to use for the listing using the "Upload" button, the images you select will be placed in the appropriate "Select an Image" boxes on the Auctiva listing creation page.

Also, in order to make sure your account is set to use Auctiva hosted images by default, please click the "Account Settings" link under the "My Account" tab within your account. Then, make sure "Auctiva" is selected in the drop-down menu labeled "Default Image Hosting" in the "Image Management" section and, if you have to change anything to make that happen, click the "Update Account Preferences" button below.
