New Listing.. Gallery photo-ebay photo

Hello. I've just finished my first listing, and it is scheduled tonight at 7PM,PST. So far-so good. I have another one to do now.

My question is about the gallery photo. My listing shows the same photo (#1 of 6) for the ebay listing photo and the gallery photo. ??? I'm not even sure where each will show up on the listings, and how do I change it (or them), if I don't like the one that shows up now (before the actual auction starts).

I clicked on the thumbnails to put them in the order I would prefer, but it already had the numbers on each photo, in the order I uploaded them, and won't let me change them (I'm probably doing something wrong). I thought if you clicked on the thumbnails you could assign whatever number you wanted to change the order.

Update: I found out how to change the ebay listing photo, which also changes the gallery photo.

I still am not sure where each one shows up on Ebay (search, etc), and how to change the order in which they show in the gallery.
