I've been selling on Ebay for about 2 years now and have mostly used auction style listings. I sell a wide variety of items, but usually only have one of any given item in stock at a time. I'd really like to open an Ebay store but would like to get some information from experience store owners on Ebay on how they manage things. Things I need to know:
  • Currently I use Turbo Lister, is there a reliable product I can use through Auctiva to list multiple items?

  • Is Auctiva able to differentiate between listings that are store listings and regular auction listings (as in, do they calculate this stuff correctly?)

  • Do any of you have a "best method" for getting an item listed, from photo to final displayed listing?

  • Any odd things about Ebay/Auctiva I need to watch for?

Many thanks in advance for your help - thought it would be wiser to get info from the experts before I jump in and make a mess of things, LOL!!!

I have no idea how I do what I do....It is a constant change and such. the best thing I can suggest is when opening a store think like the buyer does.

You have to put in the categories your listings as you would if doing directly from ebay when listing.

As to best method each has their own way..but now when you open a store ebay has a really good tutorial that walks you through step by step and just follow that from beginning to end.

I have a question...I had imported my store categories from eBay to auctiva and made changes I forgot how to import them from ebay any help would be appreicated.

Hi Dinah,

Since you have changed your custom eBay store categories, you can update them in the Auctiva system at Auctiva -> My Account(tab) -> Ebay Settings...and click the "Update Store Categories" link.

Once you have done that, you should see your category changes on the eBay store category menus on the Auctiva lister page.
