I sell a lot of vintage matchbooks. I hate having to choose either used or new. Matchbook collectors DO NOT WANT NEW (that means not vintage) and they DON'T WANT USED (that means some of the matches are gone in the matchbook). Rather, conditions should be Mint, Near-mint, excellent, very good, good, fair, poor, etc. I don't like being forced to choose new or used.

I wrote eBay about this and here is their reply:

Thank you for writing eBay in regard to your item conditions. I can understand how you would be frustrated with having to choose Item conditions options that don't fit your product. I know that the system right now isn't perfect, however I do have good news. We are making changes to the item conditions and providing additional options, like the ones you have suggested, so that you can more correctly describe your item. I know that this doesn't address the issue right now, but I can say that change is coming, so until then please just do the best youcan by using the Item Specifics and Description to help clarify for yourbuyers. I know that this isn't the best scenario, but we are going to fix it so we appreciate your patience with us and thank you for being a valuable member of the eBay community. Have a wonderful time shopping and sellingon eBay!

Sincerely,
Simon ______
