Hi,

I am new to auctiva and have been placing ads for about a week. Lsat night I opened an ebay store and started to stock it(Man that takes a long time lol). Now after listing about 7 items I went to the store to have a look. I noticed that none of the pictures were showing up but instead they had a little green camera. That stopped me and had me thinking about my auctions. I took a look and same there as well. I am using the image system here in auctiva to do the images and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on how I can get my pictures to show in the gallery without haveing to open each ad to see the pictures.

If you need an example the store location is http://stores.ebay.com/Sweet-Domains

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as the way it is now is just no good.

Hi! Did this problem just start with your store listings? You said that you have been doing listings for a week with Auctiva, did this problem occur with your regular auctions?? Did you create a new listing profile for your store items and remember to select the Gallery button on the scroll down tab in Marketing Tools? (I have forgotten to do this before when creating a new listing). I just think that it is odd that it happened once you set up your store listings. I just opened a store too but did not experience this. When you go in to revise your listing on eBay does it show that you have the gallery picture selected?
Maybe someone else can also shed some light on this as I am sure it is very frustrating.
Good Luck! By the way, your store looks great!

I think it is very EASY to miss the gallery button when you are first using Auctiva and don't know to look for it. The button I am referring to is when you go into your listing on Auctiva, scroll down to where you choose a template and counter. Right below that is a box that says, "Marketing tools" and here is where you would use the tab to choose Gallery. YOU KNOW WHAT, I was just looking again at it and I think you have to set up the Gallery - Marketing Tools under the Profiles tab at the top of your Auctiva page. I am sure you have noticed that Auctiva is based on setting up different profiles and then choosing from them. Well, this is no different. SO, first go to the Profiles tab on your Auctiva page, go under Marketing Tools and set up a Gallery Marketing TOol. THEN when you go into your listing you can choose Gallery in your Marketing Tools section.
Really, Auctiva is a great site....just takes some work to figure out the quirks and set up all those profiles!! Hope this helps!

Yeah, paying those Gallery fees can add up but you know, it is SO well worth it!! All the powersellers and those that sell a lot on eBay recommend to anyone starting out to use the Gallery despite the fees. I use to be a partner at an Ebay drop off store in NY before moving to North Carolina last year and including the Gallery photo in our auctions were standard practice despite the costs (which we usually absorbed). Listings with gallery photos historically bring in more money than those without. Many people tend to pass by listings without the photos.
Glad it got worked out!
