I have tried using the new uploader today and it will not work. The applet does not start and then if it does - none of the photos show up. This is true for in listing and separate uploads. Anyone else having this issue?
I just ran back-to-back tests using my standard 32 1MB images.
I ran an IE7 - ActiveX test at 1:18 PM EST and it completed without error in 8 minutes and 10 seconds.
I ran a Firefox 3.0.6 - Java test at 1:29 PM EST and it completed without error in 7 minutes and 17 seconds, a new record (old record was 8 minutes flat).
Tests were run on my old Athlon 64 1.8GHz system with 1GB of memory and Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3. Internet pings of the Auctiva server are clean with about 120ms latency at this time, and tracert shows my usual 18 hop path from my Columbus ISP via Roadrunner Tbone to the DCA Cogent backbone.
I just tried multible times to upload images through the Auctiva uploader. When you go to upload, you get an error message saying"Image uploader encountered problem-contact webmaster". I put in for support.
I encountered the Firefox version of the message while testing with Linux. I corrected with with a setting for Java to allow the script to redirect. It happened on that final switch to the confirmation page failing with the error. See my thread on the Firefox - Linux test for the exact setting in Firefox.
