Does anyone know if the new postal rates for Priority will be reflected in the shipping calculator starting on May 12, 2008. If I list things this weekend, I am unsure if the new rates will apply...I just found out after calling the post office (and they did not readily know) that basic flat rate box priority is going up to $9.80 and basic Priority rate is starting at $4.80.

I located a full PDF on the new rates at USPS.

Anything shipped from the 12th forward would use the new rates.

Agree on those Priorty prices AND they have a new LARGE FLAT-RATE BOX for $12.95. If you have an account at USPS (no charge), you can get free delivery on any of the free Priorty boxes, including the small and medium video cassette size boxes (I use them alot and just got more).

ebay sent out a message on April 22nd on the new rates. Their tables should be working by now, but I don't have anything listed currently. I haven't seen Auctiva post a notice, but I would bet they are ready (and it may just be a feed from ebay anyway).

I would do the old double-check the invoices for the first few weeks to make sure they are correct for calculated. You can also cross-check with their shipping calculator:

Last time I checked, the large flat rate box was not an option via Auctiva, ebay or Paypal. Just an FYI.

Agree...odd since it was made available on March 3. However, I'm hopeful it will be added with the changes rolling this weekend. Got one of it's rolling tonight message from eBay. The eBay shipping calculator does NOW show the new box as an option when you look for sample rates.
