I'm a complete ignorant when it comes to "setting" anything that would drive more traffic to my eBay and/or Auctiva store. Plus I'm new at all this (auction selling).
So, here is something that I'm really confused with, they might sound silly, but remember, I have No idea about anything ..
-I can see, somehow, that by "adding a link" I can, somehow again, drive more traffic to my store. I went there, clicked on "Generate a link" and all that "mambo .." came out, it says “copy and paste this code into your webpage. Now my question is: My auctiva counts as my web page? How about my eBay store? if so, where should I add it at and from where?
Plus at the bottom says "Direct Auctiva Link" What it is this?
Thanks in advance !!!

Hello,

The links that you are talking about would be useful to insert into another website, so that someone could click on the link and be taken to your Auctiva store. If you don't have another website, then they really aren't helpful to you. If you could put such a link on your Auctiva store (and I don't think you can), if someone clicked on it, they would be taken right back to your Auctiva store.... where they were to begin with!

Remember, the Auctiva store is essentially a display of what is in your ebay store. It is not a stand alone website.

For the link coding that you are talking about, you need access to another website, blog, or similar "other" website/page. In other words, a place somewhere else that when the link is clicked, it brings the potential customer over to your store.

Hope this helps.
Taking part in the Community boards of both eBay and Auctiva can help drive traffic to your eBay items as some people are just plain nosey and can't resist taking a look at what you're selling. However, this is really only a very short-term option or when you have time on your hands as you need the free time to either post or or reply to questions.
I did post a link in Google Base some while ago which seems to be driving additional traffic to the store and my items sometimes appear in Google searches. Here are some of the links that I used to get it off the ground :

I did not find the process particularly intuitive or user friendly and managed to do it more by luck than judgement and now I just leave it alone!
Hope this helps. Smile
