No gallery Photo

Hi Ritz,

To use a gallery photo when creating your listings through Auctiva, you must select the image you'd like to use as your galler image from the "Select an Image" box labeled "Gallery" in the "Image Selection" section of the lister page, as well as check the box next to "Gallery" in the "Marketing Tools" section.

If you would like to add a gallery image to your listing that is already active, you can do so via the following process:

1) Log into your eBay account and click on "My eBay"
2) Click on the item for which you'd like to change the gallery image.
3) Right click on the image you'd like to make your gallery image and click "Properties"
4) Copy the image URL...it begins with "http://..."
5) Click "Revise Your Item"
6) Click "Edit pictures & details"
7) In the "Gallery Image URL” field, paste the copied URL over the existing one and save your changes.

thanx Mike for your speedy response...I thought I was well prepared but....maybe gallery foto is not what I want...what I want is a foto in place of the little green camera that appears before my listing. I did follow your instructions but the camera is still their and now I suspect tahat perhaps gallery foto was incorrect. How can I replace the little green camera in front of the listing?

You were right! The gallery image is the image that would show in place of the "green camera" icon on eBay's search results pages. The instructions in my post above "should" allow you to add a gallery image successfully, so I'm uncertain what the problem may be.

I hate do say it since you've already been down this road but, for further assistance with this matter, I recommend you contact eBay's customer support department. There may just be a time lapse between when the gallery image is added and when it appears...I'm not entirely sure.

It can take (in eBay's verbage) up to a few hours (sometimes!) for the 'camera icon' to be replaced with your gallery-image.

IF they have a problem with your gallery image url, they do email(eventually) and ask you to correct it.

Thanx..it's been hours. but I have sent eBay an email. Hope they answer before the listing is over.
