Do you know if autiva has a program I can put on my lap top so when I'm travling with no internet, so I can get items ready to post on ebay when I get home?

The Auctiva.com product does not have a desktop based version of the software but the listing and management software available on the http://classic.auctiva.com/products/default.aspx site are desktop based products that you could use on your laptop while you are not connected to the internet.
If you were to use one of these products, you could create your listings and upload your images offline and you would just have to connect to the internet to post your listings to eBay.
