I took a look at the listing. It appears to have a normal description section with an Auctiva Bubala Bear Yellow template. I'm able to view the source code, and the description section has the HTML.

I'm not seeing any of the usual Auctiva add-on code for its services, the Scrolling Gallery code, or the Sellathon counter. Those are added by the code generator, when you use Auctiva to submit the listing. From your orignial description, I'm guessing you used the <HTML> export feature to copy and paste the code directly to eBay. That would explain why those features are missing. You can add the Scrolling Gallery HTML code by using the same HTML export feature from the STORE tab page (look upper right).

Note, Auctiva normally adds the Scrolling Gallery and Sellathon counter to all active listings automatically at the point you sign-up to the service and "Pass the Token". The Scrolling Gallery, etc. can only work with an active token.

Hi, when i look at the add i can see the sellathon counter and the gallery. I did use the paste HTML to copy the template extra over as these listing are already active and this was the only way i could find how to do it without relisting my items. The problem is that when i go nto the revise item now to change anything the HTML code is not there, not only for this iktem but for all my items listed so i can't change any of mny other listings to show the auctiva temnplates extra. Please help, any advice would be of help, new to auctiva.

Thanks Dale

Hi,

In viewing the listing, I'm only visually seeing the standard eBay counter and no Auctiva Scrolling Gallery or Sellathon Counter.

If you replaced your listing code with the copy and paste method using eBay Revise listing, you needed to retain the Scrolling Gallery and Sellathon code. If you deleted all the HTML code in the description and then did the paste, that would remove those elements and explain why they are absent.

The Scrolling Gallery and Sellathon code begin and end with comment markers, e.g. <!--ASW--> is the comment marker for the Scrolling Gallery.

Edit: As an example of one of your listings that hasn't been updated with an Auctiva Template, I looked at 320336019842. It does show the Scrolling Gallery and Sellathon counter.

Hi Dale,

I just need to make sure of where you are checking for HTML code and seeing none. Is that happening when you do an eBay Revise Listing?

I can absolutely say there is code present in that section from checking the original listing (both visually and I'm looking at the Source Code from the page). If there weren't code present, the template wouldn't be there.

I'm wondering if this problem is some type of bug in eBay's listing editor (and I've seen some recent reports of problems).

Edit: Which operating system and browser are you using? If you have a PC with Windows XP or Vista and IE7, try installing the Firefox browser.

Hi Danno,
yeh it is when i goto revise listing then go down to where the item discription should be it is highlighted on the HTML tab as if it should be showing the HTML but it isn't visable. Also i can't switch to the standard template where you should be able to see the item discription as i don't have a cursor. There is literaly nothing visable only the two tabs and it wont let me do anything. It was there this morning as that was when i started to try to transfer the auctiva, then it went.

I am using XP and IE 7 i think. I have read a couple of posts one says that it has happened to them and it is there but under a invisable blanket lol. I just want it back to normal then i can transfer over to auctiva.
Hi Dale,

Looks like you are making some progress. I see the Full version of the Scrolling Gallery is now back on 320334466098.

It's possible it's a bug with the editor and it may be tied to IE7. That's why I suggested trying Firefox (a different browser).

BTW...Don't switch to IE8, as it won't work correctly with Auctiva and probably not eBay yet.

Danno

Edit: Correction, IE8 will only work if you set it to IE7 compatibility mode for a problem site.
Miricals do happen lol. It all seems to of sorted it's self out. I have got the scroll bar on but i don't seem to be able to get the counter on but it doesn't matter to me that much as it doesn't count proper. It counts clicks so if you click on ur own item it counts your click in the total and the ebay one doesn't do that.

Many thanks danno for all your help today.
