Not all Items Showing up in Store Window...

At leaast you have some, I have none!

Not all of your auctions show up in the Store Window at the same time. The number is fixed (I forget what it is but it's nowhere near 81). Also, the ones that show up are the ones closest to ending.

Hi all,

The store window is set to display 12 items at a time favoring items that are ending nearest the time of the one being viewed, and is refreshed every 4 hours. Once some of your listings end, they’ll be replaced in the store window with new ones at next refresh. We will be increasing the store window capacity to 20 in the near future.

The only way you can control what goes in your store window is by making items hidden. To do this, go to Auctiva -> Store(tab) -> Edit Items. Items that are made hidden will not be shown in your store window the next time it refreshes, which it does about every 2 hours.

Currently, the store window capacity has been limited to 8 to help deal with our current bandwidth situation.

What? it is limited to only 8?? why didn't someone tell me this two days ago? I've been frantic with support help and I left you a message here Mike about this yesterday...you just asked for my auctiva ID.. I mentioned I had 11 listings and not all were showing.. I don't understand why you didn't tell me then that only 8 show. Now I can at least edit my windows... just surprised you and the support help person didn't tell me directly.

This didn't become necessary until yesterday evening, but, yes, until we have resolved our current bandwidth issue, the number of listings displayed in the store window will be limited to 8.

Thanks Mike, That's exactly what I wanted to know. I think it would make more sense if you guys set it up that we could choose which items showed up rather than choosing which ones DONT' show up. I know I would prefer that. But either way, it sounds like a good system. I do enjoy the Store Window!

If possible, can you please make some kind of announcment here about the store windows progess toward displaying more than 8 items? I really can't afford to trouble shoot it's effectiveness with the updates taking hours. So many items are crucial - hard to decide - and I always have around a dozen...thank you.

The store window will only be displaying 8 listings until we transfer our servers to our new colocation, which will either be next Thursday(3/2), or the following Monday(3/6)...we're keeping our fingers crossed for Thursday.

When we are sure of the date and times of the move, they will be posted by our CEO, Jeff Schlicht, on the following thread:

I'm having the same problem except NONE of my items show up in the store window. The store window is the only reason I registered with Auctiva in the first place, and now it seems like a lot of effort all for nothing!! Furthermore, the empty store window which says that I dont currently have any items for sale has attached itself to all my auctions. Not only does this look really unprofessional - but who's going to bother clicking on the link to see my other auctions when there is a huge window in the middle of the page saying there aren't any other auctions!!?? Even when I disable the store window, it doesn't remove itself from my auction pages. I should've just paid Vendio and saved myself all the trouble...

Have the same problem. It seems to happen to me quite often. I only have 4 items, of which one has already ended. In the enxt hour or so, all 4 will have ended and I'll have ended items scrolling.

To the Vendio user, have fun. I used them, cost me over $40.00 a month. I was able to get it closer to $30.00, but it was too much of a headache.

If you are talking about using Ebay, the store window just can't be removed from listings. I still have a lot of dead Vendio windows in my auctions.

My window has only 4 items showing up. Last week off and on I had none. I wrote to help and support and they told me that they were undergoing some changes to the bandwith for the store windows. I really can't complain because I love Auctiva, and it's free!! Can't beat it, that's for sure. Blessings to all of you and may we all have good sales!!! Yvette
