I mainly use Auctiva for it's extra picture hosting and templates. Since they are constantly broke down on a weekly basis I was wondering if any non-Auctiva programmers could help me figure out how to do the following.

How can I use Auctiva to list, use their image hosting and templates and use ebay picture hosting as a back-up. So when they break down like they are now my ebay back-up pictures would kick in and replace those annoying little boxes with x's in them. (I'm beginning to think Auctiva should have that symbol as their logo)

I can live with the showcase not showing images for a few days. However I would like my images for the auction to be available for my possible bidders.

I realize I could revise an auction and use ebay picture's host but I keep an average of 1,000 or more auctions daily and I don't have time to do each auction.

Is it possible and if so how? I know it sounds crazy but didn't we put a man on the Moon. So typing some extra code into your html should be easier than that

Well, sure, you get the free pic, but you'd still have to work that out with eBay by uploading it to their servers.

The only way, I'd think, would be to revise every listing at eBay and add an extra pic. That would mean you'd have a duplicate in the listing but you'd have a working pic if Auctiva went down...

If one wanted to have more than one pic as an automatic back-up, I can't see that it's possible. But I'm certainly open to suggestions..
Hello

You can use as many photo's as you want on ebay Auctions for free. it's only when you use their picture show, or whatever they call the darn thing that you get zapped the extra fees per photo..

If you can do your own HTML, webpages you can use as many photos as you want for free even if the photos are hosted on ebay's servers. However you must pay the monthly service charge depending on the size disk space you have reserved on ebay's servers.

We always use more than one photo in ALL our auctions and some of them are hosted on Ebay's servers. We NEVER pay more than the .35 cent gallery fee no matter how many photos we use in an auction.

We have never ever paid extra money due to the amount of photos used in any one auction.

If you can do your own Html then Ebay's picture show is a complete ripoff.
