I brought this up a few months ago about using non-English characters in the title when listing an foreign item usually under the Books category.

I tried to list this GERO VON WILPERT~Sachwörterbuch der Literatur~GERMAN but it came back saying "The specified Title is invalid" so I had to change the ö to o before it would work.

Any idea when we can use be able to these characters

Al, I too would like to be able to use some foreign-language characters - but I think this is an eBay thing, not Auctiva. I might be wrong but the reason I think so is this: I used to be able to do it all the time, in whatever listing manager program I was using, or straight in eBay. Some time back I noticed I couldn't do it anymore - and it's not just in Auctiva, I get that error in my other listing software also. I haven't tried it when listing directly in eBay as I try everything I can to avoid doing that Wink

But as I said, I don't think it's Auctiva. I think eBay changed something somewhere along the way on the .com site so that you can't use foreign characters in the title any more (you still can in your description). If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will quickly correct me Wink
As you know if it was a major issue with most sellers they would look further into it but since I am the only one having a problem with it then it must be on my end and not theirs.

This is not the first time I have sent them a support ticket over the years on this issue so I will just use the regular keys and change them when I do a revise over on ebay
They told me to use the Full Size Editor and that on the left hand side is a button for special characters. Also to type what I want in the title in this box as well and just copy and paste it in the title section.

Now that I don't have any foreign books to list I really don't know if this will work or not for me.
