I can't find what the sizes in "package size" do to the postage rate. There's 3 choices for an oversized package ( Oversize 1. 2 & 3) plus a checkbox for irregular size... but they don't seem to match the USPS rate categories. USPS adds a $2.90 surcharge for a "non-machineable" Parcel Post package so which one of this sizes does that for me? Since there is no surcharge for the same oversized package in Priority Mail I can't just add the $2.90 in the handling. Is there a way to enter info and check the rate to see what it gives prior to listing it? Thanks...

Hi Spider,

I'm not exactly sure what impact the different package sizes have on the shipping calculator. We just offer the same "Package size" options as eBay, since auctions listed through Auctiva use eBay's shipping calculator. I suggest you contact eBay support for further clarification on this issue.

Unfortunately, there is not a way to test the shipping calculator prior to posting your listings because the shipping calculator is not added to a listing until it is actually posted.

The "irregular size special handling" checkbox will add the $2.90 surcharge to Parcel Post and the Oversize 1 will charge the 15 pound rate for items under 15 lbs that are over 84" so I have answered two of my questions. However, some Sellers may not be aware of the $2.90 surcharge on Parcel Post for violation of the new USPS machineable size chart. Thanks anyway but I played around with a live auction and some relist options.
