Hey everyone, Any help will be greatly appreciated because I'm about to lose it!! Shipped items to Greece and bought the auctiva insurance coverage. Items were never received by the buyer and he filed a claim with Paypal instead of with me and auctiva. Paypal of course sided with buyer so now I'm out almost $100!!! The buyer has not responded to any of my emails or the email from the auctiva insurance claim page that he needs to fill out and send back to me so I can file the claim with auctiva. What can I do!! Am I able to just print the page from Paypal showing that the buyer received all of his money back and send that in with my auctiva claim since the buyer is not responding? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Valerie

Dear Valerie,

Thanks for letting us know about your experience. While U-Pic typically requires a signed affadavit from the buyer describing the loss or damage in order to process a claim, I believe they will be willing to make an exception in this case since the buyer is unwilling to participate in this process.

I recommend contacting U-Pic's claims team using the contact information on the following page of their website, and they should be able to help you out: http://u-pic.com/Contact.aspx

Just wanted to update everyone on how this claim is going. I contacted U-pic as Mike suggested and they are going to try and contact the buyer for me. No luck so far in accomplishing this even though I found an additional phone number for the buyer. Now they've sent me an update via email and it has the wrong amount on the claim so now I'll have to contact them again and get them to fix that.

I'm really losing faith in this process.... There is no incentive for the buyer to fill out the necessary paperwork if he's already received all of his money back from Paypal. What happens if this guy never responds to the U-pic representative??? Am I out all of my money(almost $100!!) and I had to deal with all the hassle of trying to get this resoved??
That's got to be soooooo frustrating!!! I feel your pain! That's why I stopped shipping internationally--there's no delivery confirmation with the standard shipping methods and sellers are just like sitting ducks, waiting to be taken advantage of. At least when I ship within the US, I always print out my labels with the delivery confirmation, and the one time a buyer claimed they didn't receive a package and filed a claim with PayPal, all I had to do was send PayPal the delivery confirmation info and they denied the buyer's claim.

I hope UPIC can still help you out even though the buyer is being a jerk about it...fingers are crossed! At least they're listening to you--the USPS wouldn't even consider helping you with this type of problem.
