I just loaded my first ebay post through Auctiva and my images look awful! I brought them in through photoshop 6 and resized them to 500 pixels wide. Saved them as a gif. Then uploaded them to auctiva. Now they look terrible. Please tell me what I have done wrong or at least how to fix this. I am just starting out with my kids and really wanted to show them how to do this correctly.

Try saving as a JPG. Saving as a GIF reduces the # of colors to 256 which is a limitation of that format.

Also I'd reduce them to 1024 pixels wide. That way they'll supersize better, and we resize them for you automatically to fit into the eBay listing. Also 1024 is ratio of photo width where as 500 pixels may cause the photo to stretch depending on the photo editing program. If 1024 is too much then maybe 800 pixels wide.
