I need to have a web host site to post a photo for an item I am selling locally on craigslist. I do use auctiva for my ebay auctions, but can I do the same for a photo posted to craigslist. Thanks, ladf1

Yes, you can do that but we are recommending it. The reason is that such uses are not detected by our image deletion tools. If you ran our image delete wizard, it would not detect that your image is used there.

I think what Tony means is if you used the Delete Wizard, it would not recognize that the photo was in use and delete it. It's supposed to recognoze photos being used on Ebay, but nowhere else.
Couldn't you just upload directly from your computer? I have an ad on Craigslist & that's what I do.

To add a bit more info, the image deletion wizard as currently designed also cannot detect that an image is used on eBay if it was not listed (or relisted) using Auctiva. That is why we added this message "Auctiva Image Hosting tools are used for images in listings posted or relisted through Auctiva. They do not track images in listings posted or relisted using any other service." on our manage images page.
Thanks for the info Tony, I didn't know that. In fact I've been afraid to use the Wizard, I feel like I'll do something that will wipe out ALL my pics
