Hello,
I am fairly new to Auctiva and i am needing just any pointers on how to create one or more photo of each listing. I want my clients to be able to see each pc of clothing up close and personal but cannot figure out how to do this.

Any help at all would be most appreciated as I am not sure how to even begin to do this????????

Thanks to all

Hi D.ann!

Welcome to Auctiva! I did a little checking on your current eBay listings, and have a few tips for your clothing.

It's great that you have a dressform/mannequin to use to display your shirts and tops! I'd shy away from doing the "angled" pictures though--they were a bit distracting and I found myself tilting my head to see the items better.

For each shirt or top, I always get a full shot of the front (including the sleeves, the back, and close-up of the tag and if the item has cuffs, it's good to show those too. Also, if the item has any detail (or flaws) you want to highlight (such as fancy embroidery, buttons, stains, etc.) you should always included that.

For pants or shorts, if your mannequin cannot be dressed in them, I'd recommend two things: either use a clothes hanger with clips against a wall or other non-distracting background orplace the items on a clean flat surface and get up high enough over them to be able to include them in a full shot. If you have pants, for example, you could lay them out flat showing the front, then flip them over to show the entire back, and also photograph the tags, zippers/buttons/fabric/etc. I often see people who don't have enough room to lay pants out fully fold the bottom of the legs up at an angle--that way its easier to squeeze them into the photo in their entirety. If you do a search on eBay for similar products that you are selling, you can see how other sellers are photographing their clothing.

When you list with Auctiva you can get 24 supersized images included in your listing, so it's good to take advantage of that especially when listing clothes. That will allow potential buyers to click on your images and they'll see an enlarged version that will show the details better.

I hope that's enough to get you started. We've got quite a library of tips and tools in our EDU tab, and many other tutorials and FAQs under the Helptab.

Happy selling!
