Posting time lag

I haven't listed a new item in some time, but now I have some new items that I need to get listed. I am curious as to how long the lag time is to get an item listed. I added a new listing about 8 - 9 hours ago for immediate listing. I received confirmation back from the auctiva site saying the listing was accepted and had been submitted to eBay for immediate listing, but still haven't seen anything yet. How long should I wait before I become concerned?

If the listing is on your Active Listings page, then it's listed on eBay. You can also check your My ebay page on eBay--if it was listed, it will be shown there. Remember it does take several hours for eBay to index listings before they will show up in search results.

If your listing didn't get posted to ebay, there would be a failure notice and a brief explanation why either on your Scheduled listings tab or in the Events area under your My Account tab...

Not Posted : API error

Anyone know what this means? There is no other informaton associated with the error
