Problem w/ Design View not working is it is the default load & a question

I cannot edit my saved listings. The problem is that the design view is the default view that loads. This keeps removing my first line of code which loads my background image. Is there a way to change the default setting to the text editor instead?

Sorry to confuse you. When I was having problems with the template acting up due to the Design editor gremlins, I decided to just create a new listing but not use my template and instead paste the template code into the description editor window minus the tags. Works until I have to view it. Gues what I'll have to do is not view it at all & if I need to make revisions, do it after it's uploaded to eBay.
