I added the 24 pics allowed by auctiva and then went to the auctiva hosted images button to select more and when I add them to my listing they are HUMONGOUS. I resize them but then they still take up the space where the description goes and don't leave enough space to enter a caption. How do I fix this. I have spent way more time on this than I should have and I am still confused. I need to have about 50-60 pics for this huge clothes lot. Any help explained in simple non-confusing terms would be appreciated!~~ THX

Hi,

Try this....

The Auctiva Hosted Images button inserts code to display the original (full size) image. Switch the editor to HTML mode and locate the URL that it inserts, and you'll see the file name in the URL ends with _o.jpg where the "o" is the original. Change that "o" to "tp" and it will switch the link to the 400 x 300 stored image, e.g. _tp.jpg

That will provide same standard size images as the Auctiva usual view methods with the 1 - 24 images, and keep the look the same for all.

HI Danno,
I am confused. When I switch the description editor to HTML from standard the tool bars go away and there is no longer a button for the auctiva hosted images or any other buttons for that matter. Am I doing something wrong? How can I insert an auctiva hosted image if there isn't a button for it once I switch to HTML?
Ok..Got pics to load using the hosted image button..
New problem. The original 24 pics are vertical like I want but the ones inserted are horizontal side by side with no space in between and they ended up under description and not grouped with the other pics. Now what is going on. I can't imagine this to be so difficult with so many people using it. I see auctions set up and they look perfect with 50-60 pics with captions and everything. WHY is this so hard? I have read all the tutorials, etc. I am at whits end here...Anyone...Please help.
