To Anyone Who Can Help,

I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to post listings onto German Ebay for ages. I always get an API Error message that has the following from Ebay:

This basically says I have scripts or videos embedded in my listing that are unacceptable to Ebay. I always use the 'cleanup box' before pasting in a description and I have tried writing listings from scratch, but to no avail, still the same result...rejection. This also happens on Turbo Lister, but not to the same extent. The advice I had back from Ebay did not help.

What I want to know is has anyone else had the same experience and how did you fix the problem. At present I posting listings one at a time direct onto German Ebay...a very tedious and expensive option.

Help would be most appreciated.

PS.
Cut and pasted one of my rejected listings title, description and everything including the template directly into an UK New Listing, and wha'dya know it posted straight onto UK Ebay and was immediately active. No problems, everything OK. Looks like there may be some sort of problem between Auctiva and German Ebay.

PPS.
Just to make sure it is not the Auctiva templates that German Ebay cannot handle, I altered my control listing (the one that posted onto UK Ebay with no problems) by removing the Auctiva template and then posted it onto German Ebay...still no joy, still the message comlaining about embedded videos or scripts. Back to the drawing board!

Hi All,

As no one seemed keen to give an opinion or advice on this, I'll add my own.

After fruitless enquiries via Ebay, I raised the issue once again with Auctiva. They did a thorough investigation and came up with a few answers. The one that really worked was to disable the scrolling ad section and the counter. Once I did no problems, works every time. Shame to lose the scroller as that is one of Auctiva's cool bits, but at least the listings were more professional looking and cheaper than Ebay's offering.
I have been having similar problems with Ebay US. I just tried to uplaod 9 items and failed.
