When there is a problem like the site not being back up at 11:36AM EST. I believe most people understand why Auctiva is down for maintenance on Thursday night. For those who do not: Ebay and PayPal make their changes to the API during this time and Auctiva has to update their system to make sure it works. Now Auctiva does receive the API in plenty of time to have the site ready to upload during the normal outage. Things happen, uploads fail, changes when applied do not always work. Basically $%it happens.
Why not utilize a spot on the forum and post issues!!! I will never understand why companies do not use the tools they have in place. If you look at the board right now, there are a lot of pissed off people. It seems all of them have the general comment that they are used to this but, the service is free! If someone said that about my business I would JUMP and FIX the issue. Why generate extra emails? Why needlessly upset customers. Customers that are what keep you in business. You have a warning box at the top of the header page and you have a forum. Please really think about using them! Wouldn't it be nice to have the comments read, "I know they are free but, I would pay for this kind of service."
PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO SOMEONE IN CUSTOMERS SERVICE OR HIGHER THAT CAN DO SOMETHING.
