Well Hi everyone.

PROMOTE YOUR AUCTIVA STORE.
Drive more traffic to your store with these helpful tips.

That's what it says, so let's click on it!

Have we all seen it??

Market your Auctiva Store everywhere you can!

Yep, we've all read it.

Paragraph 1.
Place your domain link(s) to your store on every listing you have. You can add the link in the descriptions of each of your listings or in your Seller Details information.....
Your domain name should become a permanent part of your seller infmation.

DO NOT DO THIS!!! YOU CONTRAVENE EBAY LISTING POLICIES!!

ebay has just cancelled my listing because it had the domain name in the Seller Details information, under the Contact Us heading.

Can anyone at Auctiva please advise how it is possible to "Drive more traffic to your Store" by placing the domain name in the listing when it contravenes ebay listing policy???

Hi dhenryw,

Yes, since only eBay listings are displayed within your Auctiva store, it does NOT violate eBay policy to place links to your Auctiva store within your listing descriptions. For a complete description of eBay's "Links Policy", please review the following page in eBay's help index:

http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-links.html

I'm sorry to hear eBay removed your listing because you placed your custom Auctiva store domain in your item description, however, since placing a link to your Auctiva store in your listings does NOT violate eBay policy, an error in judgement must have been involved in its removal.

Many thanks for the reply, Mike.
I had placed the link to the Auctiva Store in the "Contact Us" template of Seller's Details, which of course was then duplicated throughout my listings.
ebay only cancelled one listing for "listing violation", that being the biggest earner - a Gold Sovereign - I had to pull the rest of my listings and amend the template before re-posting.
Am still awaiting a response from ebay aabaout their decision.
Hi Mike,
I don't know who is wrong or right on this issue of "listing violation" but I have processed the matter back through ebay for an answer and not received one yet!!
If Auctiva say it doesn't contravene ebay listing policy, and I have had to pay for 15 re-listings to eliminate Auctiva reference from my "Contact Us" element of my "Buyers Details" template, are Auctiva prepared to fight the cse??
