Yep Suzy you are the original poster, thanks for the advice in helping us e-vendors with other alternatives..Would have came in handy if the virus thing went much further..So glad to see its fixed today as am setting the store back up, as there is so much more tools here than other sites...

Me too am very disappointed on how the boards are managed.. very scary that anybody can edit any post.. Your welcome to edit/add to mine.. just to see.. People could put vulgar language and how would auctiva know where it came from... As the last posting in the other thread the terms of use had said ....

So why do we have the option to edit others messages.. it should only be our own..?

Anyway so so so glad auctiva is back up and running..but am dissappointed in the editing of the boards..

Only admin and the original composer of a post can make an edit of a post. You can not edit my post nor can I edit yours.


I have been reluctant to post or ask about other services because of what I agreed to when I signed up to use these forums. I try to comply with their guidelines.
I try to follow their few simple rules that is posted at the top of every forum:
READ FIRST!

I think it's pretty simple. Don't post links to competitors.

Would you want links to your competitors in your store, listings, forums if you had them? Of course not.

Jeff, I can't see the post you are replying to but a lot of of have links to our competitors. We have them in our store, we're on facebook and have MANY competitors as Friends and some of us even have our own "Mall" in our personal sites. In addition, we all belong to the Auctiva Mall.

ThANK you for responding everybody .. I had wrote a l engthy letter before for all of the postings above will get back to that later as I want to be an informed auctiva member.... I got side tracked and couldn't respond properly after got a call from my mom I am so so sooooooooo grateful that my dad has received a kidney..he is doing so good... I Won't be here tomorrow. but will be back..He just got a donar kidney this past week and will be out of the hospital tomorrow... I can't believe it..I am so very very happy..
