Question on Email templates

I'm working on the template "Payment Reminder" I have added my own wording and such but I was wondering if the template has other fields that can be inserted automatically like the auctions number and item are? Also, the item number is highlight as a link but it doesn't go the auction, why? or how can I get it too?
